Measuring up...

After more than a decade of working with schools, youth clubs, and communities, we recognised a recurring challenge: the traditional education system is no longer meeting the needs of every young person. Too many are left feeling as though they are the ones falling short—when in reality, it’s the system that isn't measuring up.

...Build A Skill's approach

At Build A Skill, we combine proven mentoring and youth work practices with a dynamic syllabus of DIY and construction skills, site visits, and teamwork. This unique blend helps young people develop both confidence and practical know-how.

The programme culminates in a community project, giving students the opportunity to apply their learning in real-life settings, take pride in their contributions, and strengthen essential pro-social skills.
